जिप - ए - टोन प्रक्रम

मानचित्रों पर रंजन व छायांकन का प्रक्रम जिसके अंतर्गत रेखाएं सेलोफेन की तली पर छपी रहती हैं और इस प्रकार उनको मिटाया नही जा सकता बल्कि वे और अधिक स्पष्ट प्रतीत होती है विशेषतः उस समय जब कि वे कागज के निकट सम्पर्क में होती हैं ।

The process of tint and shading on maps, in which the lines are at the bottom of the cellophane, and thus they cannot be removed, but their effect is more reliable, since the lines are in close contact with the paper.

कटिबंध प्रोफाइल / जोनल प्रोफाइल

भूआकृति वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा उपयोग किये जाने वाले प्रोफाइलों की एक किस्म इसके द्वारा पेनी प्लेनों और भूतकाल के अपरदित पृष्ठों का अध्ययन किया जाता है । प्रक्षिप्त प्रोफाइल किसी पट्टी को निरूपित नहीं करते बल्कि क्षेत्र को करते हैं । इसमें सामान्यतः मानचित्र को एक से तीन किलोमीटर की दूरी पर समानान्तर रेखाओं द्वारा विभाजित करते हैं, जिससे कि प्रत्येक पट्टी के उच्चतम बिन्दुओं को मिलाकर प्रोफाइल खींचा जा सके ।

A type of profiles used by geomorphologist to study peneplains and other eroded surfaces of the past. The projected profiles do not represent a line but a zone. The map is divided into strips one the three Kilometers wide by parallel lines, and the profile is drawn by joining the highest points in each strip.

प्रायः लघु माप पर बना वह मानचित्र जो प्राणिजात - वितरण को प्रदेशों के अनुसार प्रदर्शित करता है ।
