संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में रेलवे टाइम टेबुल में लगे मानचित्र को रेल रोड मानचित्र कहते हैं ।

In U.S.A the map inserted in the Railway Time Table is known as Railroad map.

एक प्रकार का अन्वेषण मानचित्र जो शीघ्रता तथा कुशलता से ऐसी तकनीकों जैसे - कैमरा फोटो थियोडोलाइट सूर्य - कम्पासों, पार्थिव फोटोग्रामिती, टेल्यूरोमीटर, वायु फोटोग्राफ तथा स्थानीय व्यक्तियों द्वारा दी गई सूचना आदि के उपयोगों से तैयार किया जाता है । यह निश्चित सीमाओं के अन्दर ही सही होता है ।

A type of exploratory map, produced rapidly yet efficiently, using such techniques as cameras, phototheodolite, sun compasses, terrestrial photogrammetry, tellurometer and air photographs. It is accurate within certain limits.

वह मानचित्र जिसमें नेशनल पार्क, बर्ड सेंक्चुअरी, पिकनिक स्थल, स्टेडियम तथा सिनेमाघर आदि दिखलाएं जाते हैं ।

सापेक्ष उच्चावच मानचित्र

स्थलाकृतिक शीट की एक किस्म जो पांच मिनट के देशान्तर एवं अक्षांशान्तर पर रेखाजाल में विभक्त होती है । आयत में उच्चतम एवं निम्नतम बिन्दुओं का अन्तर, एक लघु पैमाने के आधार मानचित्र पर अंकित कर दिया जाता है । इसमें समान अन्तरों वाले स्थानों को सापेक्ष उच्चावच की 100 फीट की सममान रेखाओं से मिला दिया जाता है । इस प्रकार के मानचित्र बनाने की विधि का उदग्म सर्वप्रथम जर्मनी और पौलैंड में हुआ था ।

A type of topographic sheet which is divided into graticules (rectangles ) of 5 minutes of longitude and latitude. In the rectangle the difference between the highest and lowest points is noted and plotted on a small scale base map. Place of even differences are connected with isopleths for 100 feet of relative relief. The process of preparing such map was originated in Germany and Poland.

एक प्रकार का मानचित्र जिसमें किसी क्षेत्र विशेष का पृष्ठीय उच्चावच प्रदर्शित किया जाता है । यह उच्चावच समोच्च रेखाओं, हैश्युर आदि विधियों से प्रकट किया जाता है ।

A type of map in which the surface relief of a particular area is shown. The relief is shown by contours, hachuresis etc.
