Gall's cylindrical projection
गाल का बेलनाकार प्रक्षेप
इस प्रक्षेप मे यह माना जाता है कि वेलन ग्लोब को 45⁰ उत्तर एवं 45⁰ दक्षिण अक्षांशों पर काटता है तथा इन दोनों अक्षांशों के मध्य का ग्लोब का भाग बेलन से बाहर रहता है । देशान्तर सीधी एवं लम्बवत् रेखाएं होती हैं जो उपयुक्त दोनों अक्षांश रेखाओं को वास्तविक दूरी पर मापानुसार काटती हैं । सभी अक्षांश रेखाएं क्षैतिज रेखाएं होती है तथा 45⁰ अक्षांश रेखा की लम्बाई के बराबर होती हैं । इन अक्षांश रेखाओं के बीच की दूरी का निर्धारण विषुवत रेखा पर स्थित प्रतिव्यासांत् बिन्दु से सीकेंट सिलिन्डर (बेलन) पर प्रत्येक देशान्तर रेखा को प्रक्षेपित करके किया जाता है । इन दोनों 45⁰ अक्षांश रेखाओं पर पैमाना शुद्ध रहता है । विषुवत रेखीय क्षेत्रों में मानचित्र संकुचित तथा ध्रुवीय भागों की ओर बढ़ जाता है । इन कारण यह न तो शुद्ध अकृति वाला और न ही समक्षेत्र प्रक्षेप है । किन्तु मध्य अक्षांशीय प्रदेश के क्षेत्रो को प्रदर्शित करने के लिये उपयोगी है । इसे गोल का स्टीरियोग्राफीय प्रक्षेप भी कहते हैं ।
In this projection the cylinder is regarded as intersecting the globe along the parallel of 45⁰N. And 45⁰S. And the part between these parallels is outside the cylinder. The meridians are vertical lines spaced truly on both parallels. All the parallels are horizontal and equal to 45⁰ parallel and their spacing is determined by projecting each meridian from its antipodal point on the equator upon the secant cylinder. The two 45⁰ parallels are true to scale, in the equatorial regions the map is reduced in scale, while towards the pole it is exaggerated.In the true sense it is neither orthomorphic nor equal area, but useful for representing the areas of middle latitudes.This is also known as Gall's projection or Gall's Stereographic projection.

Gambose
गैम्बोज
एक प्रकार का पीला प्रोजेक्टिंग पेंट जिसका उपयोग प्लेट पर किसी क्षेत्र की रूपरेखा बनाने में किया जाता है । इसके उपयोग से रंग अपनी सीमाओं के अन्दर ही रहते हैं । इस प्रकार के पेंट को गैम्बोज कहते हैं ।
A type of yellow projecting paint used for outlining the area on a plate. The paint keeps the levels exactly within their limits. This paint is also known as gambose.

गॉस का अनुरूप प्रक्षेप
गॉस क्रांजर द्वारा विकसित एवं क्रैग द्वारा नामित एक अनुरूप प्रक्षेप जो मरकेटर प्रक्षेप से मिलता जुलता है । इस प्रक्षेप में बेलन ग्लोब को विषुवत रेखा की बजाय किसी देशान्तर रेखा पर स्पर्श करता है, अर्थात् से 90⁰ तक घुमा कर अनुप्रस्थ कर देता है । केन्द्रीय देशान्तर वास्तविक पैमाने पर खींची जाती है किन्तु अन्य अक्षांश एवं देशान्तर रेखाएं जटिल वक्र होते ह । मध्य देशान्तर से सभी अक्षांश रेखाओं का विपथन हो जाता है, और इससे उत्तर - दक्षिण दिशा में हटने पर पैमाना वास्तविक नहीं रहता । इस पर रम्ब लाइन सीधी रेखा, नहीं होती । यह प्रक्षेप उन लघु क्षेत्रों को निरूपित करने के लिये उपयोगी है जिनका उत्तर - दक्षिण विस्तार अधिक होता है । देखिए अनुप्रस्थ मरकेटर प्रक्षेप ।
A conformal projection developed by Gauss - Kranger and named by Craig. This is a case of Mercator projection in which the cylinder is tangential to the globe not along the equator as in the normal case, but along a meridian i.e. it has been turned transversely through 90⁰. The central meridian is true to scale. Other meridians and parallels are complex curves. The parallel diverge from both sides of the central meridian. And the scale in the north and south directions becomes wrong very quickly away from that meridian. The rhumb line is not a straight line. The projection is used for reprensenting small areas alongated in N.S. direction. See Tranverse Mereators Projection.
