विशिष्ट उद्देश्य के लिए बनाए गए वे मानचित्र जो किसी विषय - विशेष को निरूपित करते हैं । ये मानचित्र स्थलाकृतिक मानचित्र से भिन्न होते ह और उनके आधार पर बनाए भी जा सकेत है तथा नहीं भी । इस मानचित्र वर्ग में भौतिक, राजनीतिक, ऐतिहासिक, सामाजिक, आर्थिक तथा सांस्कृतिक विषय हो सकते हैं । ये उद्देश्य के अनुसार विभिन्न मापों पर तैयार किए जाते हैं ।

वह मानचित्र जो प्रदर्शित आकृतियों की लम्बाई, चौड़ाई और ऊंचाई को इस प्रकार प्रकट करता है कि स्थलाकृति पर उपस्थित आकृतियां प्राकृतिक प्रतीत होती है ।

पर्यटन तथा पिकनिक स्थलों से संबंधित उद्देश्यों के लिए बनाए गए मानचित्रों का सामूहिक नाम । इन मानचित्रों में पर्यटकों द्वारा भ्रमण योग्य क्षेत्रों को दर्शाया जाता है । इस प्रकार के मानचित्रों में रूचिकर लक्षणों जैसे मार्ग, प्राचीन भवन, आमोद प्रमोद स्थल तथा आवास संबंधी स्थलों के निरूपण पर अधिक बल दिया जाता है ।

एक प्रकार का मानचित्र जिसमें दो मुख्य तत्वों जैसे सापेक्ष उच्चावच एवं औसत ढाल संबंधी विषमता को संदर्श प्रतीकों द्वारा चित्रित किया जाता है । जिसके कारण इसे सुगमता से समझा व याद किया जा सकता है । यह मानचित्र छोटे पैमाने पर तैयार किया जाता है ।

A type of map in which the two main elements such as ruggedness of average slope and relative relief are shown by means of perspective symbols. Because of this it can be easily perceived and remembered. It is designed for a small scale map.
