क्षेत्र मानारेख

एक प्रकार का कार्टोग्राम जिसमें एक प्रदेश, देश अथवा महाद्वीप को छोटे छोटे आयाताकार भागों में विभाजित किया जाता है । इनमें से प्रत्येक किसी संख्यिकीय मान के अनुपात में होता है । इन क्षेत्रों को उन स्थितियों के क्रम में रखा जाता है जैसी कि मानचित्र पर होती है ।

A type of cartogram in which a region, country or continent is subdivided into small regions, each of which is represented by a rectangle, proportionate to certain statistical value. These areas are placed I n approximately the same position as they are on the maps.

ऐसा अर्धपारदर्शी कागज़ जिसमें थोड़ा सा तेल व्याप्त रहता है । इसका उपयोग प्रायः रंजित मानचित्रों के लिये किया जाता हैं, जिनमें प्रत्येक रंग के लिये अलग अलग शीटें तैयार की जाती हैं इनका रजिस्ट्रेशन (मिलान) बिल्कुल सही होना आवश्यक हैं ।
