समोच्चरेखण प्रत्यक्ष विधि

किसी क्षेत्र में प्रत्यक्ष रूप से अपेक्षित समोच्चरेखा के बिन्दुओं के निर्धारण की विधि । इन बिन्दुओं का प्लेन टेबुल या जरीब या चंक्रम द्वारा सर्वेक्षण कर लिया जाता है ।

It is the method of locating the points of the required centres directly in the field. These points are then surveyed by either travrsing or by chain survey and plane table.

इस प्रकार के मानचित्र की रचना सर्वप्रथम एल.डी.स्टेम्प महोदय ने की थी । ऐसे मानचित्र में रेखाएं क्रमशः रेलमार्ग अथवा सड़क से 5 मील से अधिक दूरी वाले क्षेत्रों को इंगित करने के लिए खींची जाती है और इस प्रकार के निश्चित क्षेत्रों को काले रंग से रंजित किया जाता है ।

This type of map was constructed by L.D. stamp. In such maps the lines are drawn to indicate areas more than five miles from either Railway or road respectively. The areas thus defined were filled in black.

एक प्रकार का प्रशासनिक मानचित्र जो किसी जिले (जनपद) और उसको लघु इकाइयां तहसीलों को दर्शाता है और उनसे संबद्ध आवश्यक सूचनाएं देता है ।

A type of administrative map which gives information about district and its smaller units (tehsil).

विभाजित वृत्त

एक आरेखीय युक्ति जिसके अंतर्गत किसी वृत्त को अलग अलग त्रिज्या खंडों में विभाजित किया जाता है और प्रत्येक त्रिज्या खंड प्रदर्शित किए जाने वाले मान के अनुपात में बनाया जगता है । इन त्रिज्या खंडों को अलग अलग ढंग से रंजित किया जा सकता है ।

A diagrammatic device where by a circle is divided into sectors each of which is proportional in size to the value it represents. The several categories can be shaded & labelled.

विभाजित आयत

विशेष प्रकार का आलेख जो आमतौर पर दण्डालेखों की भांति बनाया जाता है । यह मानों को अनुपाती लम्बाई के द्वारा निरूपित करता है और यदि इसको तुलनात्मक अध्यय़नों के लिए बनाया जाता है तो दो या अधिक चतुर्भुजों को प्रतिशत के आधार पर विभक्त कर दिया जाता है ।

These are generally drawn like bar graphs, proportional in length to the volume they represent or where comparisons are involved, two or identical rectangles, may be divided on a percentage basis.
