अनुप्रस्थ पाणसल

मुख्य रेखा के समकोणों पर लिए गए वे तल जिनसे मुख्य रेखा के दोनों ओर स्थित प्रदेश की प्रकृति का पता चल जाये । उससे सर्वेक्षक को किसी स्थान के अनुप्रस्थ परिच्छेद का आलेखन करने में सुविधा होती है ।

These levels are taken at right angles to the direction of the mainline to determine the nature of the country across the main line. It enable the surveyor to plot the cross section of a place.

अनुप्रस्थ परिच्छेदिका (घाटी की)

वह परिच्छेदिका जो किसी नदी घाटी के आर पार अनुप्रस्थ रूप में खींची जाती है। यह घाटी तल पर लगभग जल धारा के समकोणों पर होती है।

संचयी अशुद्धियां

वे अशुद्धियां जो सदैव एक ही दिशा में होती हैं, अर्थात वे जो सदा घनात्मक या ऋणात्मक हैं । इनको संचयी अशुद्धियां भी कहते हैं ।

errors which are always in the same direction i.e. errors which are always positive or always negative sometimes known as cumulative errors.

वक्रता एवं अपवर्तन

पृथ्वी की वक्रता के कारण जो त्रुटि होती है वह वास्तविक क्षैतिज रेखा तथा तल - रेखा के बीच का अन्तर है । इसके कारण कोई पिण्ड अपनी वास्तविक स्थिति से नीचा प्रतीत होता है, जबकि अपवर्तन में कोई पिंड अपनी वास्तविक स्थिति से ऊंचा प्रतीत होता है । अपवर्तन - संशोधन, वक्रता से हुई त्रुटि का लगभग 1/7 होता है ।

The error due to curvature is the difference between a truly horizontal line and a level line. It makes the body appear lower than what it really is, while refraction make the body appear higher than what it really is. Refraction correction is about 1/7 of the error due to curvature.

एक प्रकार का आलेख जिसके अंतर्गत संचयी योग तकनीकों का उपयोग उन अनेक ढाल - कोणों के विश्लेषण में किया जाता है जो किसी ढाल परिच्छेदिका - रेखा के साथ नियमित दूरियों पर बने हैं ।

A diagram is which cumulative sum technique are used to analyse a series of slope - angles produced at regular distances along a slope - profile - line.
