यह एक संदर्श खमध्य प्रक्षेप है जिसमें यह माना जाता है कि अक्षांश और देशान्तर रेखाएं एक ऐसे बिन्दु से प्रक्षेपित की जा रही हैं, जो उस व्यासान्त पर है जहां तल उस पर टेंजेंट है । एटलसों में इस प्रक्षेप का अधिक उपयोग नहीं है । परंतु कुछ रूपान्तरी प्रक्रमों में इसका बहुत अधिक महत्व है । गोलार्द्धो में विश्व के मानचित्रों को बनाने और अलग अलग महादेशों तथा देशों को दर्शाने में इसका उपयोग किया जा सकता है ।

It is a perspective zenithal projection in which parallels and the meridians are projected from a point at one end of a diameteron to plane tangent to the other. The projection is not much used in atlases, but it is of great value in certain transformational processes. It can be used for maps of the world in hemisphers, and also for separate continents and countries.

एक प्रकार का मानचित्र जिसमें आमतौर पर रैखिक आकृतियां जैसे सड़क, जलमार्ग अथवा सीमा आदि को दोनों ओर की स्थलाकृतियां निरूपित सीमा तक दर्शायी जाती हैं । ये आकृतियां फर्मा के अनुरूप लम्बाकार होती हैं जिसमें मानचित्र क्षेत्र एक संकीर्ण पट्टो में सीमित रहता है ।
