वह फोटो - मानचित्र जिसमें एक सतत फोटोमोजेक, जो आर्थोफोटो चित्रों से बना या नहीं बना हो को फोटोमिकैनिकल प्रक्रमों (जिसे पिक्टोलाइन प्रक्रम कहते हैं ) को सीरीज द्वारा एक ऐसे रूप में परिवर्तित कर लिया गया है, जिसका आसानी से विश्लेषण किया जा सकता है । इस शब्द की व्युत्पत्ति टोनल मास्टिंग प्रोसीजरों द्वारा फोटोग्राफिक इमेज कनवर्जन से हुई है ।

A photomap in which a continuous tone photomosaic, which may or may not have been constructed from orthophotographs has been converted by means of a series of photomechanical processes known as the pictoline process into a form more readily interpreted. This term is derived from photographic Image conversion by tonal masting procedures.

चित्रमय ग्राफ वे ग्राफ होते है जिसमें मात्राएं, अनुपातिक आकारों की एक ही आकृति द्वारा निरूपित की जाती है न कि समान आकार की पंक्तिबद्ध आकृतियों द्वारा जो पिक्टोग्राफ मे होती है ।

Pictorial graphs are those where quantities are represented by single figure of proportionate sizes, instead of by rows of figures of een sizes, as is done in pictographs.
