एक प्रकार का मुद्रण - प्रक्रम, जिसके अंतर्गत किसी वस्तु के बिम्ब को सुग्राही (सेंसिटिव ) जिंक अथवा एल्यूमिनियम प्लेट पर फोटोचित्रण द्वारा अंकित करते हैं ।

A type of printing process in which the image of an object is transferrred by photography on to a sensitive zinc or alluminium plate.

यह एक लिथोग्राफीक मुद्रण सतह होती है जिसे उपयुक्त समतल सतह पर तैयार किया जाता है । यह चिकनाई और जल को साथ साथ धारण करने में सक्षम होती है और परस्पर प्रतिकर्षी सिद्धान्त पर कार्य करती है ।

मुद्रण सतह चिकनी स्याही और गैर मुद्रण सतह पानी को धारण करती है । इस प्रकार गैर मुद्रण सतह पर स्याही को फैलने से रोकती है और कागज पर छाप प्राप्त हो जाता है ।

It refers to a lithographic printing surface, which is prepared on suitable plane and capable of holding grease and water simultaneously and works on the principle of mutual repellant. The printing surface holds greasy ink and non - printing surface holds water, thus prevents the spreading of ink in the non - printing areas and impressions obtained on papers.
