ẓo,e or ẓā, called ẓā,e

mu'jama or ẓādi manḳūṭa, the seventeenth letter of the Arabic alphabet, the twentieth Persian, and the twenty-first in Hindūstānī ; This letter is purely Arabic, and has not any corresponding character in the Sanskrit : in reckoning by abjad it stands for 900.

a tyrant : adj. tyrannical, barbarous, cruel, oppressive ; (met.) applied by the poets to a beloved person or mistress. ẓālim-gudāz, a destroyer of oppressors, an epithet applied to a king who maintains justice and good order. A.
