t̤o,e or t̤ā, called t̤ā,

ṭe muhmala or ṭa,e ghair manḳūṭā, the sixteenth letter of the Arabic alphabet, the nineteenth Persian, and twenty-second Hindustānī. This letter is purely Arabic or Semitic, but it is sometimes introduced in certain Persian words which were originally written with te, as ṭabarzad for tabarzad, sugar-candy. it has no corresponding character in Sanskrit, and in Arabic its genuine sound is stronger and harsher than that of the te. in reckoning by abjad. it stands for 9, and in almanacks for the sign Capricorn.
