Fire clay

This is secondary so called because it is found in the region of coal seams. It is highly refractory.

ಕಾವುಜೇಡಿ, ಜಲಜಿಶಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಮಣ್ಣು, ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಲು ಗಣಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ತಾಪಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಲ್ಲದು.

ತಿಗುರಿಯಿಂದ ಮಡಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗೇಯುವಾಗ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಉಳಿಯುವ ಬಳೆ ಆಕಾರದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಿಂಬೆ. ಆ ಸಿಂಬೆ ಗೇಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಡಕೆಗಿಂತ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಅಗಲವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಡಕೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲ್ಲು ಅದರಿಂದ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
