নাকোং
(Nakong): Ear = Na, see `Na`

নাকোং চিকপা
(Nakong Chikpa): Earache = Otitis = Inflammation of the ear or the pain/ache in the ear. Otitis externa = It is inflammation of the canal between the eardrum and the external opening of the ear (the external auditory meatus). Myringitis = It is inflammation, of the eardrum often due to viral infection. Acute otitis media = It is inflammation, usualy due to viral/bacterial infection of the middle ear (the chamber lying behind the eardrum and containing the three bony ossicles that conduct sound to the inner ear). Symptoms and sometimes also surgical drainage (myringotomy = incision or surgical operation of ear drum). Secretory otitis media = Otitis media with effusion = it is chronic accumulation of fluid in the middle ear causing hearing loss. Chronic suppurative otitis media = It is chronic inflammation of the middle ear associated with perforation (needed myringoplasty = plastic surgery to repair eardrum) of the eardrum and in some instances with cholesteatoma [cyst containing some cholestrol (fatty substance) found in the middle ear]. Labyrinthitis = otitis internal = it is inflammation of the inner ear causing vestigo, vomiting, loss of balance and deadfness. Otalgia = the pain in ear. Apart from local causes it may be due to the disease of jaw joint, neck, throat and teeth.

নাকোং নপথী
(Nakong Napthee): Earwax = Napthee, see `Napthee`

নাকোং মখুল
(Nakong Makhul): Auditory meatus = it is the passage leading from the pinna (projecting external part of the ear in mammals = Auricle) of the outer ear to the ear-drum (see below)

নাকোং দ্রম
(Nakong Drum): Ear-drum = Tympanic membrane = the membrane at the inner end of the external auditory meatus, separating the outer and middle ears. It is formed from the outer wall of the lining of the tympanic cavity and the skin that lines the external auditory meatus. When sound waves reach the ear the tympanum vibrates, transmitting these vibrations to the malleus - one of the auditory osscile in the middle ear-to which it is attached.

(Nakong Manung Chaphatpa): Labyrinthitis = Otitis internal = `Nakong Chaphatpa`, see `Nakong chaphatpa`.

নাকোং লাইখুন
(Nakong Laikhun): Otorrhoea = Any discharge from the ear, commonly, a purulent discharge in the chronic middle ear infection (Otities media = see in Nakhong Chaphatpa`) see `Khom-Laikhun` also.
