To be come-at-able (Slang); to be ready to go with any one (a woman). Baṛi uchhāl-chhakkā hai, apnī kar-ke nahīṅ rakkhi. She is a bad one, she doesn't keep it as her own. Apne ko mān'nā, v.n. To think much of oneself; to be vain of; to feel proud. Koī mӯāṅ apne ko māne hai; Koī dās āp ko jāne hai. Mauj. Some Lords esteem themselves; Some slaves regard themselves. apnī khāl meṅ mast ho'nā, v.n. To possess the sources of happiness with-in oneself; to be indifferent to fortune; to be independent; to be content. apnī gā'nā, v.n.

To be full of one's own affairs, ditresses, etc.; to be always retailing one's own grievances. Garaz kā bāolā gāwe. Prov. Mad of self, sings of self. Apnī girah' yā gāṅṭh se. From one's own pocket. apnī guṛyā saṅwār denā, v.a. lit. To dress one's own doll. [Said of a father who defrays to expenses of his daughter's marriage, her dress, ornaments, etc. irrespective of what the bridegroom's family may spend]. apne mūṅh mīӯāṅ miṭṭhū Prov. To be one's own trumpeter. apnī nīṅd so'nā, v.n. 1. To sleep when one pleaes 2. To be free from care or auxiety; to be one's own master; to be able to enjoy oneself. Apnī nīṅd sonā, apnī nīṅḍ uṭhnā. Prov. Sleep at pleasure, wake at pleasure. apnīoṅ par ā'nā, apnī uālīoṅ pe-, Wom. v.n. To be determined, or set upon; to resolve upon; to take i nto one's head; to be provoked; to be put on one's mettle. Jo maīṅ apnīoṅ par āūṅ, to kisī kī nā mānūṅ Wom. If you once put me on my mettle, nothing shall stop me. apne hā'toṅ. adv. With one's own hands; himself. Apne hātoṅ apnī izzat kho dī. apne hā'toṅ kulhāṛī mār'nā, -- qabar khodnā, v.n. To be one's own destroyer or enemy.

To make one's own; bring into one's own possession; occupy; secure; adopt. Bhāṅḍoṅ saṅg khetī ki, bā bajā ke apnī ki. Prov. (The husbandman) wentshares in a field with some players - they sang and played and made it all their own.
