khaṭwāṭī paṭwāṭī, ansan yā āsan pāṭi, Taking to one's bed in the sulks. [It was the custom of a Rānī (queen), when her feelings were deeply wounded, to tie a bandage (paṭī) over her eyes and take to her bed, on which she lay perfectly still and silent.]
